Tottenham fans have revealed they held “positive” talks with the club regarding ticket prices for next season.

At a scheduled meeting last night between representatives of the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust and members of the club’s board including chairman Daniel Levy, fans put the case for a price freeze on season tickets for 2016-17.

A Trust member told Standard Sport: “There was a positive discussion around pricing for next season with no decision being made as yet. We remain in ongoing dialogue on this matter.”

Tottenham have yet to confirm ticketing plans for next season.

When announcing last January they would freeze both season tickets and matchday tickets for the current campaign, Spurs also made this statement on their website: “Season-ticket prices for the subsequent season 2016-17 will see an average increase of less than two per cent, with junior (inclusive of Under-18s) and senior citizen tickets frozen for the fourth successive season.”

The club emphasise, however, that those arrangements are not set in stone.
