Tottenham have no 'special' plans for Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, says Mauricio Pochettino

Akinfenwa is commonly referred to as 'the world's strongest footballer' due to an enviable rating in the strength field on FIFA's video game series.

Despite playing the majority of his career in the lower league the 34-year-old boasts a high-profile and will arrive at White Hart Lane in fine form, having scored two goals in his last two games.

'The Beast' is expected to lead the Chairboys' front line as they look to cause an upset against Spurs but Pochettino is adamant he will not make any notable changes to his team's preparation, despite Akinfenwa's somewhat unique attacking threat.

“No, nothing special," Pochettino told his pre-match press conference.

"In the end you need to have some precautions with a player like him but I think in the Premier League you can meet different teams with different players like him.

"It’s true that he’s a good player, a strong player, big, but we need to be strong.”

Spurs will be installed as clear favourites to progress to the fifth round, having avoided defeat on home turf this season.

But Pochettino has urged his players to take nothing for granted when they face Gareth Ainsworth's side, who occupy fifth place in the fourth tier of English football.

“Always it’s difficult. I think the beauty of the FA Cup is that clubs in League Two like Wycombe believe that they can beat us.

"That is how the FA Cup is and the belief that it gives the team is massive," he added.
