Tottenham are hopeful goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will recover from illness in order to regain his place for tomorrow's Premier League fixture against Watford.

His deputy, Michel Vorm, took a knock to the knee in the 3-1 victory at Swansea on Wednesday night and is struggling to recover ahead of the encounter with Walter Mazzarri's side.

Midfielder Victor Wanyama also missed out at Swansea with a back injury which he sustained in the previous match at Burnley.

Wanyama, 25, was close to playing at Swansea and continues to be assessed by medical staff.

Spurs occupy second place in the table and victory over the Hornets will cut Chelsea's lead at the top of the table to four points.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane is ahead of schedule in his recovery from an ankle ligament injury and was due to train with his Tottenham team-mates today.

The striker could also return against Watford - just 27 days after suffering ankle ligament damage last month.
