Tottenham legend Ledley King has vowed to watch another game with the club's away fans after experiencing a 'passionate' atmosphere at Stamford Bridge during Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino's side made the short trip across the capital to play their rivals at the weekend and were cheered on by thousands of the club's fans.

King has regularly been seen on the punditry sofa since his retirement but took on a new perspective in west London by joining the Spurs faithful in the stands.

Although King's cover was blown almost immediately he is adamant Spurs fans can expect to see his face amongst their number in the future.

"I’ve wanted to go and sit in with the fans for a while," King told Tottenham's official website.

"I really enjoyed it. I went through the turnstiles at a stadium probably for the first time since I was about 18. I almost forgot how it all worked!

"I was looking down and thinking back to all the times I’d run out at Stamford Bridge and remembering what it was like to be down there but you soon get caught up in it all from a fan's perspective.

"There was so much passion and I’ll be back in there again before too long,” he added.

King may have enjoyed his fan experience but the 36-year-old was, understandably, frustrated not to see his former club pick up three points against Antonio Conte's side.

Spurs have won just one of their last 10 games in all competitions but King is keen for the north Londoners to stay positive.

“It was disappointing to see us play so well and not get the result.

"We were the better side for long periods and we have to take positives from the performance," King insisted.

Spurs will have an opportunity to bounce back when they host Swansea City at White Hart Lane this weekend.
