Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has 'laughed off' rumours of a move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

Aguero is one of the world's most feared strikers but has failed to score in his last three Premier League appearances for Pep Guardiola's side.

The Spanish manager also recently omitted Aguero from his starting line up for the recent trip to Barcelona, sparking suggestions the 28-year-old's future was uncertain.

Playing such a high-profile occasion without the Argentina forward would have been unthinkable for City in years gone by and reports in Spain have recently claimed a number of clubs are monitoring Aguero's situation.

But when the idea of signing Aguero was put to Pochettino at his pres conference ahead of tomorrow's game with Leicester the Spurs boss could not help but laugh.

"Reports in Spain? Not true. 100 per cent not true!" he insisted.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's own star striker - Harry Kane - has been ruled out of the encounter with Claudio Ranieri's side.

The 23-year-old injured his ankle ligaments in September and has already resumed outdoor training but is yet not ready to return to first-team action.
