Heung-min Son, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura were on target as Tottenham beat MK Dons 3-1 in a pre-season friendly.

Lucas had a hand in all three goals, setting up Son for the first, opening up the MK Dons defence with a brilliant run before Alli added the second and then scoring the third. MK Dons pulled a goal back late on.

Alli captained Spurs back at his old club and did well in a midfield three.

Son scored in his first game since signing a new four-year contract at Spurs.

Speaking after the game, the South Korean said: “I have said it before, it is an honour to play for this big club and I just want to continue.

“I have one wish, for the fans to keep supporting us, we will work as hard as possible to make you happy. We have missed them.

“I have only played two games in pre-season but it has been really positive. It is only pre-season but the energy is there, the positivity is there.”
