Tottenham monitoring Celta Vigo's Stanislav Lobotka ahead of summer transfer deadline

Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka has caught the eye of Tottenham.

Spurs are the only Premier League team yet to make a signing during the summer transfer window, with Thursday's 5pm deadline fast approaching.

The Slovakia international, who scored against England at Wembley last September, is unlikely to be a priority but is on their radar with Mousa Dembele still open to leaving before the season starts.

Lobotka previously confirmed interest in him from Napoli and an unnamed Premier League club.

He told Slovakian outlet Pravada in June: "We have been in contact with Napoli for a long time. But we do not have to go ahead, we are still negotiating.

He added: "The club they said clearly that if they come up with an interesting offer, they have no problem to let me go. But it has to be an adequate offer, as I recently signed an extension of the contract. We have to wait for it to happen.

"Another club from England [are interested], but I will not specify which club."

The 23-year-old, who joined Celta from Danish club Nordsjaelland a year ago, has a £31million [€50m] release clause in his contract.
