The half-way point of the Premier League season is almost upon us, with the Christmas fixtures and the January transfer window edging ever closer.

The rumour mill is now in full flow with Premier League clubs expected to be busy this winter as they look to bolster their squads ahead of the second half of the campaign.

Standard Sport brings you the latest transfer rumours from today's papers and beyond!

First up today, Tottenham have reportedly been handed a blow in their pursuit of Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi as the 22-year-old is unwilling to leave the club until next summer at the earliest.

Spurs are said to be looking for attacking options to help ease the pressure off Harry Kane and are reportedly keen on Batshuayi, who has lit up Ligue 1 this term with 14 goals in 23 games.

However, the striker's aims to go to Euro 2016 with his nation Belgium could put a halt to any potential transfer to White Hart Lane in January.

Elsewhere, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United could be ready to bid £15million to recruit Stoke star Bojan Krkic while Jurgen Klopp's side are also said to be interested in signing Schalke defender Joel Matip.
