Emmanuel Adebayor is unlikely to leave Tottenham this month despite interest from PSG.

It had been reported that the French club wanted to take the striker on loan until the end of the season but Standard Sport understands that Adebayor doesn't want to leave London and Tottenham don't have an immediate replacement lined up.

The Togolese striker is one of three players Spurs have attempted to move on in recent months in an attempt to free up their wage budget. Adebayor currently earns £100,000 a week and is contracted to the club until the summer of 2016.

He was granted a brief leave of absence to travel to Ghana for personal reasons in December, and has only been included in the first team by Mauricio Pochettino three times since.

The interest from PSG stems from Laurent Blanc wanting to bolster his squad as he seeks to win Ligue 1 for the second consecutive year. He also wants a player with experience of playing in the Champions League to provide back up to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
