Vlad Chiriches’ representatives will hold talks with three Serie A clubs this week as the Romanian edges closer to leaving Tottenham.
Spurs are willing to let Chiriches leave on loan during next month’s transfer window and his agents are due to have meetings with officials from Napoli, Roma and Inter Milan this week.
Even though Chiriches was used at right-back by head coach Mauricio Pochettino in the recent win over Everton, he is not thought to be part of the Argentine’s long-term plans and is available on an initial loan deal.
Roma showed a strong interest in Chiriches, 25, last summer before they eventually signed one-time Arsenal target Kostas Manolas from Olympiakos. But sporting director Walter Sabatini has continued to monitor the player.

Both Napoli and Inter, now managed by Roberto Mancini, are keen to improve in defence and would be interested in bringing in Chiriches for the remainder of the campaign, with a view to a permanent move.
Chiriches has struggled for consistency since joining Spurs in the summer of 2013 but it is thought the slower pace of football in Serie A would suit him.
Reports in Italy claim there is also interest from Schalke and even Arsenal, although it is virtually impossible to imagine Spurs chairman Daniel Levy agreeing to strengthen their north London rivals.
