Tottenham transfer news: Spurs target Hakan Calhanoglu, claims player's agent

The agent of Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Calhanoglu claims Tottenham have made enquiries about the Turkey international, .

The 22-year-old is one of the most highly-rated wide attacking players in Europe and has also been linked with Atletico Madrid.

Calhanoglu starred for Hamburg during the 2013-14 season and his performances at Leverkusen — where he is a set-piece specialist — have raised his profile.

His representative, Bektas Demirtas, told German publication Express: “It is true that Tottenham have registered their interest with me.”

Spurs have a long-standing interest in Marseille’s Georges-Kevin Nkoudou but the deal has stalled.
