Tottenham are not expected to entertain offers from Chelsea for full-back Danny Rose.

Rose strongly criticised the ambition of the north London club last week and suggested he would consider a move away from Spurs should an offer come in.

In the controversial interview, Rose, who is paid in the region of £65,000-a-week at Tottenham, said: "I will make sure I get what I am worth."

He added: “I am not playing as well as I have done not to get paid what I think I am worth."

The Blues are prepared to double the England international's wages to around £120,000-a-week, but it is unlikely Spurs will want to negotiate with the west London club.

Chelsea have also had a bid rejected for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater.

The Blues are expected to continue negotiations over Drinkwater as Conte attempts to strengthen his midfield after the club sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United in July.
