Tottenham have rested Toby Alderweireld for tonight's FA Cup third-round replay against Middlesbrough, with youngster Japhet Tanganga afforded another start.

The 20-year-old made a surprise Premier League debut in the 1-0 loss to Liverpool, impressing against the runaway league leaders, and should step in again tonight.

Ben Davies (ankle), Hugo Lloris (elbow), Tanguy Ndombele (hip), Harry Kane (hamstring) and Moussa Sissoko (knee) are all missing, meaning Jose Mourinho's options are again limited.

Ryan Sessegnon gets another chance from the off, while Giovani Lo Celso - who stood out in a 20-minute cameo against Liverpool - also starts, while young left-back Dennis Cirkin is given a space on the bench.
