Tottenham vs Liverpool: Mauricio Pochettino only has one choice if Harry Kane is fit, says David Bentley

Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to live with himself as a manager if he does not play Harry Kane in the Champions League final, according to former Tottenham man David Bentley.

Kane, who has not played since picking up another ankle injury against Manchester City in the quarter-final first leg on April 9, has returned to training ahead of the Madrid final against Liverpool on June 1 and is certain he will be fit and ready.

Kane has also been included in the England squad for the Nations League, starting on June 6, by manager Gareth Southgate.

Despite Lucas Moura's semi-final heroics, and Heung-min Son stepping up in the round before following Kane's injury, Bentley feels Kane will make the difference.

“I think he’ll play. I think he should play, he will play," Bentley told BBC 5Live.

“I think he’s fit to go into a one-off game like that.

“Someone like him, he can be the difference between them winning, and as a manager, you could not live with yourself if you didn’t play him.”
