Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Christian Eriksen is a doubt for Tottenham's pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid on Friday.
Spurs are in Melbourne competing in the International Champions Cup but Eriksen has been suffering with a virus since the team arrived in Australia at the start of the week.
The 24-year-old played no part in today's 2-1 defeat to Juventus and could also miss out on the chance to test himself against Diego Simeone's side.
"He got a virus when we arrived in Australia on Saturday," Pochettino said of the Denmark international's absence.
"It was impossible for him to be involved in the game [against Juventus].
"We'll see. We will see what happens on Friday and we hope he will be available to play 45 minutes," he added.
Eriksen featured in all but three of Tottenham's Premier League games last term but his potential omission would not be ideal preparation ahead of the new season.

Tottenham's clash with Atletico represents the penultimate opportunity for the club's players to build their fitness prior to the start of the new Premier League campaign.
The north Londoners travel to Goodison Park to face Everton on August 13 and former captain Ledley King believes Pochettino's settled squad could prove to be a key factor in the title race.
