Erik Lamela has hailed the importance of the trust Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino installs in his players.
Spurs secured a third-place finish in the Premier League last season, with a strong work ethic as well as Pochettino's influence often cited as key factors behind their success.
Lamela struggled for form during the early stages of his career at White Hart Lane after enduring an injury-hit first season in English football.
But the 24-year-old has now established himself as a key member of Tottenham's side, with Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen the only two players to feature more than the Argentina international in the Premier League last season.
And Lamela is adamant the confidence Pochettino has in his ability is crucial: "It's important because he trusts me. And we know that he trusts in all of the players," he told the club's official website.
Pochettino has extended his trust to two new players during the transfer window and Lamela believes both Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen represent good additions.
"We are a very good team and with them we will be better. I will help them with everything.
"They are ready to work and motivated to be here," he added.
Spurs are set to take part in the International Champions Cup in Australia next week, with Juventus and Atletico expected to provide the north Londoners with two stern tests before the competitive action gets underway at Everton on August 13.
And Lamela is keen to take on the two European heavyweights: "It will be very good for us to prepare for the beginning of the season and I think the games will be good because they're very good teams."
