Harry Kane has played down his return to the goal trail during Totteham's emphatic 5-1 victory against Bournemouth.
The 22-year-old forward's form has been placed under intense scrutiny in the early stages of the season but he provided an ideal response with a hat-trick against the Cherries.
The England international had scored just one goal in nine Premier League appearances prior to Sunday's trip to the South Coast but he believes that finding the net for Mauricio Pochettino's side is not the be all and end all.
"I don't think it was relief," Kane told Sky Sports. "Obviously as a striker you want to be scoring goals but it isn't the end of the world if I'm not.
"We've been playing well as a team and I feel I've been playing well even though I haven't been scoring. Maybe a bit of luck changed at the weekend."
Kane's goals helped Spurs move up to sixth place in the Premier League table and an opening day defeat at Manchester United remains the solitary blotch on the north Londoners' record book.
Such a rich vein of form has led to suggestions Spurs could claim a place in the top four but Kane has warned that there is plenty of work to be done if the club are to qualify for the Champions League.
"There's still a long way to go, we've had our sights on top four for the last few years now but you've got to play well the whole season to achieve that.
"We've got the team to do it we just need to remain consistent and keep picking up results. We've got a lot of work from now until the end of the season, but we're excited about the way the league is shaping up."
