Tottenham's Harry Kane nominated for Player of the Month alongside Liverpool and Manchester City stars

Harry Kane has been nominated for the PFA Premier League Player of the Month award.

The Tottenham striker rounded off an outstanding 2017 with a record-breaking December, scoring eight goals and two consecutive hat-tricks.

His exploits over the month saw Kane surpass Alan Shearer’s record for Premier League goals in a calendar year and also took him to the top of the rankings for goalscorers in Europe last year.

The 24-year-old began the month with a brace in a 5-1 win over Stoke City, before bagging a treble at Burnley and, three days later, another against Southampton at Wembley.

On his achievement, Kane said recently: “I've always said that when people doubt me I want to prove them wrong. Whether it's at a young age or now, that's just my mindset, something in me since a young age.

“I'll keep getting better, keep trying to improve. It's a funny song for our fans to sing and I'll keep doing it for 9, 10 seasons and see where it takes me.”

Alongside the Spurs striker Liverpool duo Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah, Everton’s Jordan Pickford and Manchester City pair Kevin De Bruyne and Nicolas Otamendi have also been nominated.

Fans can vote for their winner here now, with the vote closing at 8am on Monday 8 December.
