Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker is determined to put his injury troubles behind him and rediscover his best form for Mauricio Pochettino's side this season.
The 25-year-old, who arrived in north London from Sheffield United in 2009, managed to make just 15 Premier League appearances last term after struggling to shake of a perennial abdominal problem.
The England international's recent plight is a far cry from the breakthrough campaign which culminated in the PFA Young Player of The Year award in 2012.
Meanwhile, Spurs have explored several options on the right hand side of defence during Walker's sporadic performances in the side over the last nine months.
Kieran Trippier has recently been recruited from relegated Burnley while DeAndre Yedlin is also expected to be in contention.
Competition for places in the Lilywhites' defence is fierce and Walker is relishing the challenge that the forthcoming campaign represents.
“This is probably the biggest season of my career so far," he told the club's official website.
“Hopefully this will be the season I get back up there and show the lads here and everyone at Tottenham Hotspur what I can do again," Walker said.
“It’s not been the easiest with the injuries but that’s all behind me now and I’m looking forward.
“I know I have to hit the ground running, I’m working hard and fingers-crossed this will be the season everything falls back into place again,” the defender declared.
