Traore rates QPR counter-attacking style

Armand Traore is confident Queen Park Rangers will improve their automatic promotion chances at Brighton tonight.

A run of just one point from four games in February dented QPR’s hopes of a swift return to the Premier League.

However, a draw with Leeds and a win at Birmingham this month have increased Rangers’ hopes that they will close the nine-point gap to second place.

Defender Traore said: “Brighton have similar aspirations as we do, so we know it will be difficult. We are strong on the counter-attack and if we play to our ability, I am confident we can get another crucial win.”

Millwall manager Ian Holloway will be without injured trio Danny Shittu, DJ Campbell and Scott Malone for his return to former club Blackpool tonight.

Shittu (calf and Achilles), Campbell (hamstring) and Malone (hip) were all hurt during Saturday’s 1-0 win at Derby. Millwall are just two points above the relegation zone but the hosts are without a win in 18 games in all competitions.

Holloway, who got Blackpool promoted to the Premier League in 2010, said: “It is all about whether we can go on a run that we have not done all season. If we can be consistent over the last 12 pressure games, hopefully, we will be alright.”
