Watford face another battle to hang on to Troy Deeney this summer with the forward tempted to leave Vicarage Road.

West Brom are thought to be keen on Deeney, who would be able to return to the Midlands to be closer to his family.

Deeney nearly joined Leicester at the end of last season, before signing a new five-year contract with Watford in July 2016.

Leicester had offered £20million for the forward. Deeney has scored 10 goals this season and has played an important role, with Watford needing just one more point to ensure they will play Premier League football again next season.

But Standard Sport understands Deeney has not always seen eye to eye with boss Walter Mazzarri and is ready to examine his options.
