Mauricio Pochettino has described new signing Victor Wanyama as the "perfect player" for Tottenham.
The 24-year-old has agreed a five-year contract at White Hart Lane and ended a three-year spell with Southampton to complete his move to north London.
Pochettino worked alongside the midfielder on the South Coast and is adamant Wanyama will be an ideal fit at Spurs as he attempts to build a squad that can challenge on four fronts next season.
"I know Victory very well. He's a player that can improve our squad and help us for the next few years," Pochettino told the club's official website.

"He's a midfielder, a very strong midfielder. A holding midfielder that can play free and play very well with the ball.
"He's powerful. I think he is the perfect player for us.
"He's a powerful player. I think he will be a great signing for us," Pochettino added.
Kenya international Wanyama is certainly a combative presence, having seen red on three occasions in the Premier League last season.
He will compete for a place in Tottenham's midfield with the likes of Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier and Pochettino believes Wanyama's experience of England's top tier will be crucial.
"Always our priority is to sign players that know the Premier League. It's important.
"It's not easy but when you have the possibility to sign a player like him [Wanyama] it's a good opportunity for us," the Argentine manager added.
Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign away to Everton on August 13 before home clashes with Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
