Vincent Kompany: Manchester City must repeat Crystal Palace performance to secure top-four spot

1/32

Vincent Kompany has called on Manchester City to repeat their dominant performance against Crystal Palace in their final three games of the season to secure a spot in the Champions League.

The result sends Pep Guardiola's side above Liverpool and into third place in the Premier League standings as both teams try and secure a place in the top four that would see them play in the Champions League next term.

Liverpool can go back above City should they beat Southampton on Sunday but, with City's destiny firmly in their own hands, Kompany has urged his teammates to maintain their form by winning their next three games - at home to Leicester and West Brom and then away to Watford on the final day of the campaign.

"We wanted to set this chain of home games right and it couldn't have gone any better," the defender said after the win over Palace.

"We need to repeat the performance in the next two game at home.

"If we do that it should put us in a great position going into the final league game away at Watford."
