Alvaro Morata has bid farewell to his Real Madrid team-mates and coaching staff before jetting to London to become Chelsea's club-record signing.

Morata left Madrid's Los Angeles training base before landing in Heathrow around midday on Thursday. The striker will now undergo a medical a finalise his move.

Standard Sport understands Chelsea will pay a £58m fee, with a further £12m in performance-related add-ons for a potential total outlay of £70m.
