'We know Mesut Ozil is good, but wow!' - Arsenal stars celebrate Ludogorets Champions League comeback

This is Mesut Ozil's world, and we are all just living in it.

Goals from Olivier Giroud and Granit Xhaka had pulled the Gunners level after Ludogorets took a shock 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes, but then it was Ozil's time to shine.

The Germany international broke the offside trap to latch onto a fine pass from substitute Mohamed Elneny with two minutes left, flicked the ball over goalkeeper Borjan and rounded two desperate defenders before slotting home the winner.

Arsenal's squad expressed relief and delight in equal measure on Twitter following the narrow win, with Hector Bellerin among those picking out Ozil for particularly high praise.

Ozil also had something to say about the result, declaring that the game is "not over until it's over".

Arsene Wenger admitted his heart was in his mouth when Ozil took on Borjan, and thought that the playmaker had passed up his chance of success.

“That's the strength of the great players, they make the right decisions,” Wenger told BT Sport. “I thought for a while he took too long to score but at the end of the day when they score you have to say well done.”
