Bobby Zamora insists Fulham will knock Juventus out of the Europa League next week if they can recapture the form they showed in stunning victories over Manchester United and Liverpool.
Roy Hodgson's side trail 3-1 after the first leg of the last-16 tie against Juventus – a result that leaves Fulham with an extremely tough task in next Thursday's second leg. But they have seen off both United and Liverpool at Craven Cottage this season and Zamora is confident that Juve will suffer a similar fate.
"We beat United 3-0 and Liverpool 3-1, which are two massive scalps," said the striker. "I see no reason why we can't do it against Juventus.
"I never thought Juventus really troubled us much, which is why we're so disappointed to concede two goals from set-plays. But if we get an early goal next week, it's set up again. The crowd will be buzzing at our place and we still have a lot of hope."
Fulham were watched by 1,547 fans in Turin and the second leg is already a sell-out, but before they can think about Juventus, Hodgson's men have a daunting trip to face United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Midfielder Clint Dempsey came on for the final half-hour last night, his first action since sustaining a knee injury in mid-January, and is in contention to start at Old Trafford.
Wayne Rooney has been in scintillating form for the reigning champions but Fulham defender Paul Konchesky is confident centre-backs Brede Hangeland and Aaron Hughes can match the England star.
Konchesky said: "We've beaten United at home already and we've always got a chance. Brede and Aaron are strong, quick, good in the air and read the game well."
