West Ham ace Mohamed Diame stokes up showdown with Chelsea

11 March 2013

Mohamed Diame today claimed West Ham’s win at Stoke last week has given the squad the belief they can get a result at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Hammers have picked up just 11 points from 14 games on the road this season but Diame is confident Sam Allardyce’s team can build on their performance at Stoke.

“I don’t know why we haven’t got better results when we’ve played away this season, so the Stoke result was very important for us and now we can look forward to the Chelsea game,” said Diame (above).

“We have to go there, give our best and try to put them in trouble. Winning at Stoke gives us belief and that’s important. We beat Chelsea at home earlier in the season and it was a very good win.”
