West Ham have completed the signing of Marko Arnautovic from Stoke for a club-record fee.

Standard Sport understands the Hammers have completed a £23million deal for the Austria international after seeing bids worth £15million and £20million rejected by the Potters earlier in the transfer window. He has signed a five-year contract at West Ham.

Arnautovic arrived in the Premier League from Werder Bremen in 2013 and submitted an official transfer request earlier in July after four years at Stoke.

The forward, who scored six Premier League goals for the Potters last season, will now join up with Slaven Bilic's squad on their pre-season tour of Austria.

Arnautovic will add some much-needed fire power to West Ham's squad with both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho still nursing injuries.

He becomes West Ham's third signing of the summer, joining Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta at the London Stadium.

Hart, who arrived on loan from City on Tuesday, said he's "always loved" West Ham, adding: "It's got something about it, it's got a lot history and I've always loved playing against West Ham."
