Olivier Giroud’s Arsenal future has been cast into further doubt following Alexandre Lacazette’s arrival.

The Gunners are willing to listen to offers for Giroud with Everton, Marseille, Lyon and West Ham all interested in the 30-year-old.

However, it is understood West Ham are not confident of luring Giroud to London Stadium while the Frenchman is thought to have doubts about relocating to Merseyside.

Everton’s involvement is also potentially diluted by ongoing negotiations to re-sign Wayne Rooney from Manchester United. Marseille initially sounded Arsenal out over Giroud in April but Wenger publicly declared at the time he wanted the striker to stay in north London.

Wenger is not minded at this stage to force Giroud out of the club if he chooses to stay and fight for his first-team place; Giroud stayed ahead of Lacazette in the pecking order for France, chiefly because Didier Deschamps believes him to be a better foil for Antoine Griezmann.

However, with Danny Welbeck fit again in addition to Lacazette’s arrival, Giroud will find first-team opportunities hard to come by next season and must decide whether a move is in his best interests especially with a World Cup finals in Russia to come in less than a year’s time.
