West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after being sent off in the Hammers' 2-2 draw against West Brom on Saturday.

The West Ham coach was given his marching orders after protesting to match officials and throwing a camera microphone from the touchline following the Baggies' 94th-minute equaliser at the London Stadium.

The FA have now charged Bilic for his reaction to Gareth McAuley's goal, saying in a statement on their website on Monday: "West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has been charged by The FA following the game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 11 February 2017.

"It is alleged that his behaviour in or around the 90th minute of the fixture amounted to improper conduct.

"His assistant manager Nikola Jurcevic has also been charged for alleged misconduct following an incident in the 19th minute.

"Both have until 6pm on 16 February 2017 to respond to their charge."

The incident late on in the Premier League game came after Bilic felt many of the major decisions had gone against his side.

Earlier in the game, referee Michael Oliver failed to give a foul on Sofiane Feghouli in the build-up to Nacer Chadli's sixth-minute opener before Bilic was left furious when the Algerian's equaliser was then chalked off for offside.

Bilic later labelled Oliver's performance as "awful", saying after the draw: "Let’s say the goal was regular, but everything beforehand was basically awful refereeing.

"I don’t say it often, we had many situations last year that went against us – but this is simply too much – it’s hard to get over that.

"Their first goal – for me – was a foul on [Sofiane] Feghouli and then our goal was disallowed for offside that was not offside. Even a couple of penalties on [Robert] Snodgrass and [Jonathan] Calleri.

"And then the last throw-in that [created] the goal was our throw-in. He gave them a throw-in and then they took it 10-yards [further] and that corner.

"I’ve calmed down in the last five years, but I just can’t do it – I don’t understand it – it’s way too much, it shouldn’t be like that. It was awful."
