West Ham have launched their commemorative away kit for the 2020-21 season.

The smart jersey represents a modern twist on the classic away strip of the 1960s, worn by World Cup winners Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.

It was also a golden era for the club, with the Hammers winning the FA Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup.

The base of the new Umbro top is a vista blue colour with two claret hoops around the body of the shirt. The top includes the commemorative two-tone crest to mark West Ham's 125th year, with claret collar and cuffs completing a slick new look.

Captain Mark Noble said: “I loved the new Home kit and I love the new Away kit as well! As a fan, there is a lot of nostalgia with this kit, making me think of those old photos I saw from the sixties, when some of the Club’s greatest players wore a kit that looked just like this."

The iconic look is a favourite with fans and has been replicated several times down the years, with similar designs used during the 1993-94 Premier League campaign and 2011-12 promotion season.

Noble added: “I can also remember wearing a similar shirt during our promotion-winning season, when we won a record 14 away games, so hopefully this new shirt will inspire us to do well on the road next season!

“As I’ve always said, West Ham is a Club that has a proud history and, as we celebrate our 125th birthday, this Away shirt definitely marks that history is a nice way.”
