West Ham were due to hold talks with Unai Emery today but Napoli remain the favourites to land the Sevilla manager.

The 43-year-old Spaniard has become hot property after guiding Sevilla to successive Europa League triumphs and there were reports today that AC Milan are also interested in appointing him.

West Ham, who expect to name their new manager in the next 10 days, are prepared to beat Napoli’s financial offer for Emery if they make a firm bid.

Sevilla president Jose Castro confirmed the Italian club’s interest, saying: “Emery has an offer from Napoli. We hope he’ll stay with us. I spoke to him on Sunday and he informed us of meetings with other clubs.”
