Marko Arnautovic says what ‘happens will happen’ with regards to his West Ham future this summer.

The Austrian, who is preparing for the World Cup in Russia, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, with Jose Mourinho casting his eye over an international warm-up game last month.

West Ham remain adamant that they will not sell their club record signing, and top scoring player of the season, after just one year.

Their stance will have solidified following the news that playmaker Manuel Lanzini could be missing until next year after rupturing his cruciate ligament in training with Argentina.

Arnautovic, who claims he has heard nothing about his future, says he is happy but what ‘happens will happen’.

"I am happy with my job. Whatever happens will happen. I've never heard anything," Arnautovic told Sky Austria.

"Even three weeks ago I haven't heard anything. That's why I cannot say anything about it.

"The only thing that bothers me is that I am in good health and that I am able to play football.

“I have a contract at West Ham, that’s all we have to talk about.”
