West Ham striker Carlton Cole charged in relation to comments made on Twitter

West Ham striker Carlton Cole has been charged in relation to a comment he made on social media, the Football Association has announced.

"It is alleged that the comment was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper and/or brings the game into disrepute," the FA said in a statement on its official website.

Cole has until 6pm on Thursday, March 5 to respond to the charge.
