West Ham will offer Lincoln a helping hand in their bid to pull off one of the FA Cup’s greatest upsets by allowing the National League side to use their training ground on Friday.

The National League leaders face Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday having eliminated Premier League side Burnley last month to become the first non-league side in 103 years to reach the FA Cup quarter finals.

Lincoln will go through their final preparations for one of the biggest matches in their history at West Ham’s Chadwell Heath training base, which houses the Hammers’ development squad and Under-18s.

Managerial duo Danny and Nicky Cowley are West Ham fans and made use of their connections at the London Stadium, with former Hammers shot-stopper Jimmy Walker now at Sincil Bank as the Imps’ goalkeeping coach.

He put the Cowley brothers in touch with Slaven Bilic, who confirmed in his press conference today that he had agreed two weeks ago to allow Lincoln to use West Ham's facilities whilst his side prepare for their own match, away to Bournemouth.

“We went home and away as kids, all over the place,” Danny Cowley said. “One season we went to 36 of the 38 league games so we've loved our time supporting West Ham and we still support the club now from afar.

“We watched the third round game against Manchester City on the Friday night in the hotel ahead of our game at Ipswich. We were disappointed that night that West Ham lost, but quite proud we had managed to stay in the competition longer than them!”

Danny Cowley added: “We're really thankful that they've allowed us to use their fantastic facilities. We'll have a good session there on Friday as preparation for the game at the Emirates.”
