West Ham transfer targets: Six strikers the Hammers want this summer

West Ham’s hunt for a new big-name striker has been rumbling on all summer.

And that’s not just because a new arrival would create an extra stir of interest as the Hammers move into their new Olympic Park home after leaving Upton Park in May.

It appears that the unsettled Diafra Sakho will be on his way out of the club soon.

Enner Valencia is said to be eager to move on too after injuries ruined his second season in east London in 2015-16.

And despite co-owner David Sullivan’s optimism about the renewed fitness of Andy Carroll – he believes he could be worth 15-20 goals in the new campaign - the supporters are always going to be fearful about the big Geordie forward’s fragility.

So the Hammers need to nail down a new forward soon – but who is the right man for the job?
