EA Sports' annual refresh of the FIFA video game series is one of the most hotly-anticipated launch dates in the gaming calendar.
For many the excitement begins to build long before the summer as screenshots and teaser trailers are drip-fed to loyal fans of the football simulation from as early as May.
For others, the boredom that strikes in the post-deadline day international football fortnight drives many towards their games consoles to download the latest FIFA demo.
And the fancy new features often trigger the early symptoms of FIFA fever.
From the addition of vanishing spray, through new stadiums and broadcast realism, to international women's sides. The team at EA Sports create a demo with just enough to keep gamers busy for the ensuing fortnight, but too little to keep them occupied for the next 12 months.
