There will be no fairytale finish for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal after Atletico Madrid booked a Europa League Final showdown against Marseille.
Diego Costa ensured Arsene Wenger's 22-year reign as Arsenal manager will end in Huddersfield and not Lyon as the former Chelsea man hit the winner for Atletico in a closely fought Europa League semi-final.
Wenger announced last month that he will step down at the end of the season, a campaign now set to end in bitter disappointment and with no silverware following a 1-0 defeat at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico will be favourites for the final, but will be wary of Marseille after the French side showed resolve to overcome a second-leg scare against RB Salzburg.
When and where is the final?
The 2017-18 Europa League final will take place on 16 May, 2018.
The match will be played at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Decines-Charpieu, Lyon, France
Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45pm UK time.

All tickets have been allocated for the final, although corporate hospitality tickets remain on sale on Uefa's website with prices starting from €590 per person.
