Eight teams have booked their place in the Champions League knockout stages going into the final matchday.

Lionel Messi inspired Barcelona to a comfortable 3-1 win over Dortmund at the Camp Nou to confirm their status as Group F winners with a game to spare.

The Catalans, along with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, were the only teams to book their place in the last-16 on Wednesday, after six teams got the job done on Tuesday.

Chelsea and Liverpool both missed opportunities to seal their progress, with the Blues drawing 2-2 with Valencia while Jurgen Klopp's men were held to a 1-1 draw with Napoli. They will, however, both progress with a win in their final game.

Leipzig scored twice late on to draw 2-2 at home to Benfica, with Emil Forsberg's stoppage-time equaliser securing their place in the knockout stages.

Paris Saint-Germain progress as Group A winners after coming from behind to draw 2-2 at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have also booked their place in the last 16 draw, progressing as runners up after Club Brugge drew with Galatasaray in Tuesday’s early kick-off.

Bayern Munich have sauntered their way to qualification in Group B, making it five wins from five with a crushing 6-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade.

Tottenham’s fightback at home to Olympiacos, coming from two goals down to win 4-2, also sealed their place in the next round. They will be joined by Premier League rivals Manchester City, who topped their group despite a home draw against Shakhtar Donetsk.

And Maurizio Sarri's Juventus confirmed their place at the summit of Group D with a win over Atletico Madrid, who now must wait until the final matchday to secure their spot in the last 16.
