World Cup 2014 draw: Brazilian model Fernanda Lima sends twitter into a frenzy

From Adriana Lima to Giselle Bundchen, Brazil has no shortage of celebrated beauties.

And with her appearance at the World Cup draw in Bahia, Fernanda Lima, a model, actress and presenter sent social media into a frenzy and was immediately trending on twitter.

However, Lima has found herself at the centre of a row in Brazil. Just four days before the draw a Sao Paulo prosecutor opened an investigation into possible racism by soccer's world governing body.

A Sao Paulo state prosecutor has asked FIFA and the company it hired to organize Friday's draw to explain why it chose Lima and her husband Rodrigo Hilbert to present the televised show instead of two darker-skinned actors.

Two Afro-Brazilians had been suggested as possible hosts but were overlooked in favour of the couple.
