Fans across the country went wild after Kieran Trippier gave England its first World Cup semi-final goal in 28 years.
England fans in Boxpark Croydon and in Hyde Park were seen hurling pints in the air and jumping for joy at the defender’s goal.
30,000 fans gathered in Hyde Park to support the Three Lions and 1,200 supporters travelled to Boxpark, in East Croydon, to celebrate.
Trippier’s goal came in the fifth minute of the first half and has set the squad in good footing for the rest of the game.
Fans in Hyde Park went silent when Croatia's goal went in - but only for a moment - and chants cheering for the home team started again.
Sadiq Khan who has joined celebrations in Hyde Park tweeted his support for Southgate’s squad.
Elsehwere in the UK fans were showing their support.
The Manchester Evening News tweeted fans going crazy at Castlefield Bowl.
Fans also gathered at Brighton Beach in the sunshine to show support.
And in Newcastle's Times Squre hundreds turned out to cheer the squad on.
Millions are set to tune in to ITV’s coverage of the game, after huge audiences tuned into previous games.
