Yohan Cabaye has opened the door to a move to Crystal Palace by saying it would be “a pleasure” to work with Alan Pardew again.

Cabaye is set to leave Paris St-Germain this summer and the midfielder is interested in returning to the Premier League.

He played under Pardew for two-and-a-half years at Newcastle before a £19 million move to PSG last January and would be keen on a reunion with his former manager.

“It went very well with him [Pardew],” said Cabaye, 29. “If I have to make that decision, it will be a pleasure to see my old coach. I enjoy it with him and he does a great job.”

Arsenal and Newcastle have also been linked with Cabaye, who has struggled for first-team football at PSG this season and appears likely to exit the French club.

“I am in a situation today where I am not getting the game time that I was hoping," he said. “We know that, for me, my future is to be on the pitch every weekend.

“The important thing is that I will think carefully and make the best decision. We will see how it evolves in the coming weeks.”
