Zamora set for Hull talks

11 April 2012

Hull boss Phil Brown is planning to meet Fulham striker Bobby Zamora tomorrow to discuss a potential £5million move to the KC Stadium.

The Tigers have been given permission to speak to the former Tottenham and West Ham forward after their club record-equalling bid was accepted last week.

Brown is anxious to bring in more firepower after seeing previous moves for Michael Owen, Fraizer Campbell, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Daryl Murphy fall by the wayside this summer.

Zamora, 28, is now free to meet Hull officials after returning from Fulham's pre-season tour of Australia.

"I'm hopefully speaking with Bobby Zamora tomorrow to discuss personal terms and show him around what could be his new home," said Brown.

Another forward linked with a move to the KC Stadium is Liverpool's Andriy Voronin but Brown has played down the speculation.

Ukraine international Voronin could be made available after spending last season on loan at Hertha Berlin.

"We have not made any contact with Liverpool with regards to Andriy Voronin," said Brown.

However, when asked if Voronin was a player that could interest him, he added: "Of course he would."
