Fulham still have a point to prove

13 April 2012

Fulham will be presented with the First Division trophy tomorrow but manager Jean Tigana today declared his side will not rest on their laurels.

The Frenchman is desperate to break Sunderland's record Division One points tally of 105 and needs to win at home to Wimbledon tomorrow and then at Grimsby to achieve that ambition.

But Tigana is dreaming of even greater success, saying: "Winning the Division One Championship is a great achievement.

"However, my dream is to win the FA Cup or the Premiership, so this is only one step towards my dream."

Fulham welcome back Bjarne Goldbaek, Luis Boa Morte, Andrejs Stolcers, Barry Hayles and Steve Finnan from international duty.

Wimbledon still harbour slim hopes of sneaking into the play-offs and they have Kenny Cunningham and Trond Andersen back from midweek internationals.
