Giovanni's warning to United

13 April 2012

Arsenal midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst has outlined the three key steps that will help his new team end Manchester United's dominance of the Premiership.

The Dutch international, who is expected to play in the Gunners pre-season friendly at Norwich tonight, insists the squad are not far away from success.

But he believes talent, belief and hard work are the key areas on which they have to concentrate in the coming season to lift the title.

"Everybody here now wants to achieve the biggest thing and close the gap on Manchester United," van Bronckhorst said.

"The talent is here to do that. But we also have to believe in ourselves and work hard.

"If we can keep those three things as much as possible for the whole season then I'm sure we can achieve something big."

Recent signing Francis Jeffers is expected to play tonight after recovering from injury.
