Goosen feels pace in Spain

Retief Goosen made a slow start at the Canaries Spanish Open today, a round of 73 leaving him seven shots behind the early leader, Denmark's Soren Hansen.

The US Open champion, who is one over par, said: "I putted pretty badly. I didn't make one putt today that would have helped my score. I probably could have made 69."

Germany's Marcel Siem held second place after a round of 67.
