Greg keeps up winning run

By14 April 2012

Rejuvenated Greg Rusedski continued his impressive run with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 victory over Karol Beck to reach the quarter-finals of the £205,000 Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles.

"It is nice to win, no matter how you do it," said Rusedski (above), who served 16 aces in the 107-minute victory, his seventh in a row.

"Sometimes you don't always play pretty, but if you can win a match like that, it's great."

After a day off, the 30-year-old British No2 will face German Nicolas Kiefer tomorrow.

Last weekend Rusedski won the Hall of Fame Championships in Newport, Rhode Island, his first tournament victory since being cleared of taking performance-enhancing drugs earlier this year.
