Gunners eye £5m Markus

Arsenal have been linked with a £5million move for striker Markus Rosenberg.

The 22-year-old Sweden international will play for Malmo tonight and Arsenal scouts will be there.

Rosenberg has made a huge impact this season and has helped Malmo to win their domestic title.

If Arsenal do decide to follow up their interest they will face fierce competition from Ajax.

German club Wolfsburg and Lokomotiv Moscow are also in the hunt but the player has already rejected a move to Russia which would have been worth £4.5m over four years.

"I want to go to a club where I know I can develop as a player," said Rosenberg, who is described as a deep-lying striker in the Dennis Bergkamp mould.
