Harlequins will set a new Guinness Premiership attendance record when they stage Big Game 2 against arch rivals London Wasps at Twickenham on 27 December, with a crowd of 80,000 expected to turn up for the special festive fixture.

Last year's game against Leicester at the home of rugby drew 50,000 fans to establish a new record for the Premiership and Quins have already sold that number of tickets with more than three weeks still to go until the game.

The club also announced today that Samsung and Vodafone have agreed to sponsor the match and that more than £75,000 could be generated by the sale of a special replica shirt for the HOPEHIV charity - a group helping children in Africa.
