Hayden hammers New Zealand

Matthew Hayden hammered his fifth one-day century to help Australia amass 314 for six in the second one-day international against New Zealand in Christchurch today.

Hayden struck 114 off 124 balls, which included 12 fours and two sixes.

Australia skipper Ricky Ponting, whose side are one up in the five-match series, made 53 in a second-wicket stand of 99 and Damien Martyn scored 58 as he and Hayden added 133 for the third wicket.
